Clean-up

  • Scraper Stick: Used to skim excess paint from the surface of the size between prints.  Mat board can be used as a scraper stick.
  • Skimming strips (newspaper strips 2" wide a few inches longer in length than the width of the tray) for skimming excess paint from the surface of the size before dropping the colors and after a marbled print is made. If this step is not performed, the viscosity of the size will have built up to form a skin and the colors will not be able to spread satisfactory.
  • Wastebaskets or a Paper bag taped to the table next to the marbling area
  • Paper Towels or tissues for clean up.
